Open Impressionism: Volume III (pre-order)
1st Edition, 2024
WELCOME TO THE THIRD VOLUME OF CONSECUTIVE WORKS CREATED BY AMERICAN IMPRESSIONIST ERIN HANSON. The previous volume, Open Impressionism: Volume II, showcased works from 2006–2016, marking the first decade of Hanson’s painting career, during which she developed and refined her signature style. By 2017, Erin Hanson had firmly established herself as a celebrated painter, with an ever-growing following and increasing demand for her art. Open Impressionism: Volume III presents a curated selection of her works from 2017 through 2020. During these four prolific years, Hanson created approximately 800 original oil paintings, and narrowing these down to the 315 featured in this volume was no easy task. Throughout these pages, you’ll encounter vivid portrayals of red rock deserts, the vibrant colors of California, the delicate splendor of Japan’s autumnal maple trees, the majestic scenery of the Northwest, and breathtaking floral inspirations drawn from across the Western states.

ERIN HANSON has been painting in oils since she was 8 years old. As a young artist, she worked at a mural studio creating 40-foot-tall paintings on canvas, while selling art commissions on the side. After getting a degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, Erin became a rock climber at Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. Inspired by the colorful scenery she was climbing, she decided to paint one painting every week for the rest of her life. She has stuck to that decision ever since, becoming one of the most prolific artists in history. Erin Hanson's style is known as "Open Impressionism" and is now taught in art schools worldwide. With thousands of collectors eagerly anticipating her work and millions of followers online, Hanson has become an iconic, driving force in the rebirth of contemporary impressionism.
