About the Painting

Napa Valley's rolling purple hills act as the backdrop for a tall eucalyptus tree catching the early morning light. The sky is awash in beautiful pastel colors painted in thickly textured brushstrokes.

The painting was done on 1-1/2" canvas, with the painting continued around the edges. The painting will arrive framed and ready to hang.

Our hearts are with the residents and businesses impacted by the recent fires that have spread across the Northern California wine regions. Erin just recently spent time exploring Mendocino and Napa for inspiration and was sad to see that the very landscapes she had just been painting are now burnt dramatically to the ground. It is our goal to help the area reemerge from this tragedy and will donate 10% of the proceeds for this painting Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund and Sonoma Humane Society.

For the next 30 days we will also be donating 100% of all proceeds from her California Wine Country book sales to these hardworking and much valued non-profits.

Erin Hanson ArtistERIN HANSON has been painting in oils since she was 8 years old. As a young artist, she worked at a mural studio creating 40-foot-tall paintings on canvas, while selling art commissions on the side. After getting a degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, Erin became a rock climber at Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. Inspired by the colorful scenery she was climbing, she decided to paint one painting every week for the rest of her life. She has stuck to that decision ever since, becoming one of the most prolific artists in history. Erin Hanson's style is known as "Open Impressionism" and is now taught in art schools worldwide. With thousands of collectors eagerly anticipating her work and millions of followers online, Hanson has become an iconic, driving force in the rebirth of contemporary impressionism.
